Lessons

Lesson Format

Lessons are Monday – Thursday, for approximately 10 – 15 minutes – approximately an hour total for the week.

Please note: Lesson duration depends on the child and will be a performance-based exit as safety always comes first. The first few lessons for new students may be shorter as they are getting acclimated.

Baby Beginnings

8 – 14 months: The goal for children ages 8 – 14 months is to learn the basic, yet essential skills of how to independently turn over from a face down position in the water to a face up position and float comfortably on their back.   Students will also practice these essential skills independently while fully clothed. Students generally master these skills in 16-20 consecutive lessons.

Touring Toddlers and Preschool Friends

Ages 15 months and up: The goal for children 15 months and up is to learn how to swim independently with their face in the water, turn over and float independently, and resume swimming with their face in the water. Students will also practice these skills independently, while fully clothed. Depending on the age of the child, students generally master these skills in 24-30 lessons.
